Traveller's Shirt
This shirt serves as the basis for all of my other shirts, it is the foundational pattern of my tops that has been refined over the course of 8 months to achieve the perfect drape and fit. Multiple iterations of this pattern had to be made, digitally and on paper, to achieve a loose, casual and cropped look which is nice and unique. The fabric was also chosen because it has a really nice drape, something I really enjoyed playing with even though it made sewing a nightmare. It features my signature handsewn buttonholes with reinforced corozo buttons that have button shanks, a feature which should be necessary on any high-end shirt. The interfacing is a high quality cotton interfacing.
I also think this shirt respects my ethos a lot more than some of my previous work. It is durable and made to be worn everyday, it doesn't crease easily and a lot of thought was given to it's utility in daily life. It functions the same as a longsleeve, yet it offers so much more, the artisanal details and it's silhouette elevate the piece to become this hybrid between utility and artisanal flair.

This was actually my first time working in an almost professional-grade photography studio. We definitely felt out of place seeing all of the equipment which we barely knew how to use. We spent two hours experimenting with different backdrops and light setups, but we ended up with what's shown on this site, which I am quite fond of. The pictures were cropped and resized for this site, but none of them were digitally modified. This is how they came out straight from the DSLR.
